CO Alarm 3-in-1

Description

Carbon Monoxide Alarm 3-in-1

The NESTOUT CO Alarm is a portable carbon monoxide detector designed for camping, road trips, van life, RV travel, and other outdoor adventures. It detects CO generated by charcoal, camp stoves, generators, and fuel burning equipment and alerts you before levels become dangerous.

IP54 dust and water resistant, backlit LCD, foldable rear stand, and USB-C rechargeable with approximately five days of continuous use per charge.

Three Readings on One Screen Three Sensors, One Device

In addition to CO concentration, the backlit screen displays temperature (14°F to 122°F), and humidity (20% to 90% RH) in a single unit. Peak CO tracking captures the highest level reached during each detection cycle so you know exactly what happened while you were away from camp.

Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector for Travel

The detector is compact enough to carry in a camping bag, suitcase, glove compartment, or van storage area. The included storage pouch helps protect it between trips.

Its foldable rear stand provides several placement options. You can set it on a raised table, shelf, or gear container, or hang it using the built-in hook. This flexibility makes it useful as a portable carbon monoxide detector for travel, hotels, cabins, campers, vans, and temporary accommodations.

Rechargeable Power for Longer Trips

A full charge provides approximately five days of continuous operation. The built-in lithium-ion battery recharges through USB-C in approximately 2.5 hours when used with a compatible 5V/1A or higher charger.

You can keep it topped off on longer trips with any NESTOUT power bank or power station.

Where to Place the CO Detector?

Always position above head height, near where you sleep or spend the most time. CO rises with warm combustion gases, and a detector placed too low may not alert you quickly enough. Use the foldable stand on an elevated surface or clip the built in hook to a tent ridge or gear loop. Never block the air inlet on the back of the unit.

Important Safety Info

This product is designed to help detect carbon monoxide. It does not prevent CO exposure, reduce CO levels, or replace proper ventilation. Always ensure adequate airflow when using stoves, lanterns, charcoal, generators, or any fuel burning equipment in enclosed spaces. The CO Alarm is one part of a broader safety practice, not a substitute for ventilation, responsible equipment use, or emergency preparedness. If the alarm sounds, evacuate immediately, ventilate the area, extinguish open flames, and contact emergency services if needed.

Not intended for long term monitoring beyond battery life, use in place of a fire alarm, industrial applications, or regulatory compliance.

Why Adventurers Use The CO Alarm

Electronic component with a black casing and green circuit board on a white background

Made in Japan CO Sensor

Figaro Engineering sensor with ±10% accuracy and built in compensation for temperature, drift, and voltage. Stable readings in humidity swings and resistant to false alarms from non CO gases.

Automatic Sensor Checks

The alarm checks sensor health at startup and every two hours during continuous use. If a fault is detected, the device alerts you that the sensor requires attention.

Resistant IP54 Outdoor Construction

Dust and splash resistant housing built for tent, tarp, and vehicle use. Backlit LCD stays readable in low light conditions.

Low Level Carbon Monoxide Detector

Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless making it difficult to detect without the right equipment. It builds up fast in enclosed spaces when you run a stove, lantern, or generator. This compact travel carbon monoxide detector helps you monitor conditions inside tents, campers, vans, RVs, tarps, and other enclosed or partially enclosed spaces.

CO, Temperature, and Humidity Readings in One View

CO concentration, temperature, and humidity all displayed on a single backlit LCD. Peak CO tracking captures the highest reading during each detection cycle so you can review conditions even after levels drop. Monitor your environment at a glance without carrying three separate devices.

Set It Up Where You Need It Most

At just 3.1 oz, the alarm is easy to bring along without adding bulk to your gear. Use the foldable rear stand to place it on a camp table, prop it near your sleeping area, or hang it from a gear loop. The included storage pouch keeps it protected and ready for your next trip.

CO Alarm FAQs

Find our answers to commonly asked product questions here.

What does the CO alarm detect?

The NESTOUT CO Alarm detects carbon monoxide, or CO, produced by burning fuels such as charcoal, propane, gasoline, wood, and kerosene. It does not detect carbon dioxide, natural gas, smoke, or radon.

Does the CO alarm have a CO2 monitor or CO2 sensor?

This product does not monitor CO2 nor does it contain a CO2 sensor. Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide (CO2) are different gases and require different types of sensors. The CO Alarm measures carbon monoxide (CO), humidity, and temperature.

When does the alarm go off?

The alarm triggers at two levels. A caution alert activates when CO concentration stays between 50 and 99 ppm for more than 15 minutes, or when it reaches 100 ppm or above. A danger alert activates at 200 ppm or above.

What should I do if the CO Alarm goes off?

Move to fresh air immediately. Ventilate the area. Extinguish open flames or shut down fuel burning equipment. Contact emergency services if anyone shows symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or nausea.

Where should I place the CO Alarm?

Always above head height, near where you sleep or spend the most time. CO rises with warm combustion gases, so placing the detector too low can delay detection. Use the foldable stand on a raised surface or hang it from the built-in hook. Make sure the air inlet on the back is not blocked.

Can I use the CO Alarm while camping?

Yes. The portable design, IP54-rated housing, rechargeable battery, backlit display, and flexible placement options make it suitable for camping.

Note: When using fuel-burning equipment its important to have adequate ventilation and follow all equipment safety instructions.

Is the CO Alarm waterproof?

The CO Alarm is IP54 rated, which means it resists dust and splashes. It is not designed for submersion. Keep it sheltered from heavy rain or standing water.

How long does the CO Alarm battery last?

A full charge provides approximately five days of continuous operation. The unit charges via USB C in about 2.5 hours using a 5V/1A or higher charger, including any NESTOUT power bank or power station.

What is the self diagnosis function?

The alarm automatically checks sensor health at startup and every two hours of continuous operation. If a fault is detected, it alerts you so you know the sensor needs attention rather than continuing to rely on a potentially compromised reading.

Can I mute the alarm?

Yes. The alarm offers three volume levels: high, low, and mute. On mute, the LCD still displays CO readings and visual warnings, but audible alerts are silenced.

Does the CO Alarm measure temperature and humidity?

Yes. The unit displays real time temperature (14°F to 122°F) and humidity (20% to 90% RH) alongside CO readings. All three appear on the same backlit LCD.

Can I use the CO Alarm in my car, van, or RV?

Yes. The CO Alarm is designed for any enclosed or semi enclosed space where fuel burning equipment is in use, including vehicles, vans, RVs, tents, and tarps.
