First off, Japan's Elecom brand has been around for a long time and is usually the most economic and available electronics found in Japan, around the same quality level as the Buffalo brand. This is my first external waterproof battery from Elecom but if it works like other Elecom products, it should last a long time.

I needed a compact and waterproof external battery that would fit in my rear helmet pouch for larping, and this battery fits like it was meant for the "Krydex Tactical Helmet Battery Pouch" (upgraded version).

I have not tested out the battery yet but I expect it to perform well. It is heavy to serve as a counterweight, and seems to be made of solid construction. I think it's shell can take a beating.

Anyway if you are looking for a solid battery to fit the helmet pouch, this fits the bill. 4 stars for now since I haven't tested its power capability but hav confidence it'll do just fine.

I purchased this item about 6 mos back along with the LED Flash-1 light attachment for use when camping. On September 26 Hurricane Helene began to make herself felt in my area of the NC mountains. As of this posting I have been without power for a week. This unit along with the LED attachment have given me unbeatable power during the storm and in the week following. I used the battery cell to provide light and power my phone in the night and then I recharge as needed with the generator during the day. But I must say, recharging is not needed daily!! I was soo impressed with this 10,000 mAh battery cell that I went ahead and ordered the 15,000 mAh version and the two panel solar charger. Now I will be ready for longer endurance and for use on multiple pieces of equipment. Hurricane Helene made me a believer in Nestout Gear!! One will always be in my SHTF bag without question.
